2024 Roll of Distinction

I’m happy to share with our members the ALPA-PAC Roll of Distinction. The pilots listed joined me during this past year and voluntarily contributed to the PAC. Thank you!

This is the longest list of ALPA-PAC donors ever. Overall, one quarter of ALPA members in the United States made a contribution to support the election of a pilot-partisan Congress to fight reduced-crew and single-pilot operations, defend safety and workers’ rights in the FAA reauthorization passed last year, and engage on key issues such as pilot mental health and aeromedical reforms at the FAA.

In this past election, ALPA-PAC-supported candidates won their election more than 90 percent of the time. When the PAC goes in with support early, members of Congress don’t forget it. In this way, we’re building important relationships that bolster our advocacy goals.

ALPA-PAC positions us well to work with the new 119th Congress. More than half of the new members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee received ALPA-PAC support in 2024. We continue to grow our connections with key members of the House and Senate, and we’re also focused on keeping our pilot-partisan champions in office.

To paraphrase former Continental and Northwest pilot Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI), one of our pilot-partisan champions, “Nothing is stronger than a group of airline pilots standing united.” One way ALPA demonstrates this strength is with ALPA-PAC participation.

A recent ALPA-wide survey reported that 50 percent of our members rank ALPA-PAC and our advocacy efforts among the most important resources of our union; however, only 25 percent of our members give. We need to do more to grow our ranks by having those who see value in ALPA-PAC also playing their part and contributing to it.

And now, our PAC is even more important due to the looming threat to remove pilots from the flight deck and a new Congress that must be educated on ALPA priorities.

The pilots listed in this document understand the threats and the value of political engagement and deserve recognition and our thanks.

Capt. Jason Ambrosi
ALPA President
