ALPA’s Pilot-Partisan Agenda: Defending and Protecting the Profession

ALPA’s engagement on both Capitol and Parliament Hill is crucial for defending the interests of airline pilots. It’s one of the most effective ways that the Association works to uphold safety standards, safeguard collective bargaining rights, and influence policy discussions to promote the priorities of its members. There will always be those who seek to erode safety and professionalism standards, and because the rights of workers are perpetually under attack, our work is never done.

Legislative success depends on reliable partners who are willing to take up the cause and fight for what’s right and just. ALPA has worked hard to develop strong relationships with its allies in both Ottawa and Washington, D.C. Together, ALPA’s professional staff and pilot advocates ensure that pilots’ voices are heard, that our concerns are communicated to decision-makers, and that we’ll always have a seat at the table on matters that affect the profession and pilots’ livelihood.
