Today, Sunwing Airlines offers direct flights from departure points in Canada and the United States to over 45 of the most popular vacation destinations across the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and Florida. Sunwing Vacations is now the largest packaged holiday company in the Canadian market.
Outside of the peak winter travel season, Sunwing Airlines temporarily stations a number of its pilots and aircraft in Europe under wet-lease contracts with its partner airlines, TUI and Smartwings. Pilots are seasonally deployed to various European cities to operate flights to Europe’s leading holiday destinations. In 2022, Sunwing Airlines and Sunwing Vacations were acquired by the WestJet Group of Companies. Sunwing Airlines is currently undergoing an integration process to be fully merged with WestJet Airlines by the fall of 2025.
