Vote, Then Fly

The 2024 general election is on Tuesday, November 5.

Make a Plan

If you already know your schedules or are waiting on your bids for November, now is a good time to figure out how and when you will vote. This way, you can make sure you are meeting whatever deadlines your particular state and local elections officials have in place. If you plan to vote by mail, check whether your state has any new requirements or deadlines for mail-in ballots. If you plan to vote early, make sure you allow for extra time—you may have to wait in line at some early vote locations for more than an hour.

Volunteer

If you aren't working and would like a nonpartisan way to help out the election process, consider volunteering as a poll worker. In most places this can be done by contacting your city or county elections office. Poll workers help check the voter rolls to make sure that voters are at the correct precinct and manage any technical issues that might occur at the precinct. If you are helping out a candidate for Congress, we hope you will join the District Advocates program and let us know who you tried to help elect.
