2020 ALPA AIRPORT SAFETY LIAISON AWARD

Capt. Kevin Berry is honored with the 2020 ALPA Airport Safety Liaison (ASL) Award for his volunteer service as airport safety liaison at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Capt. Berry has dedicated countless hours to building relationships with airport operations, ATC, and other stakeholders at LAX, striving to improve the airport working environment for all. Capt. Berry began his involvement with the ASL program just as the COVID pandemic began, a time when it was extremely difficult to foster the necessary relationships. Nevertheless, he developed important contacts and made an impact in relatively short order. Capt. Berry represented ALPA at numerous airport meetings, sharing a line-pilot perspective on issues that are important to every member of the Association.
