Breeze Airways Pilots Issue Statement in Support of Flight Attendants’ Union Drive
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the Breeze Airways pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), issued the following statement in support of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA) drive to organize the nearly 600 Breeze Airways flight attendants.
“We are extremely proud of our flight attendants as they take the next step in joining the AFA. Through the efforts of a well-established union, and with the protections of the Railway Labor Act, our flight attendants will soon have a voice in their own professional future and a seat at the table with Breeze management.
“Breeze pilots joined ALPA in 2022 and are working toward our first collective bargaining agreement. We are confident that the nearly 600 flight attendants will also realize the benefits of union representation—including having defined work rules and an established dispute-resolution process.”
Founded in 1931, ALPA is the largest airline pilot union in the world and represents more than 77,000 pilots at 43 U.S. and Canadian airlines. Visit ALPA.org or follow us on Twitter @ALPAPilots.
